The Tokenization Process in Five Steps

The tokenization process is increasingly well defined in industry practice and follows a structured sequence to ensure both accuracy and legal compliance.

First, asset evaluation is conducted by qualified experts to establish a fair and accurate valuation of the asset or portfolio of assets prior to tokenization.
Next, legal and regulatory review ensures that the digital tokens issued are backed by enforceable legal rights and represent legitimate ownership interests in the underlying asset or portfolio of assets.
Once this framework is in place, token creation and offering convert these ownership rights into digital tokens on a blockchain.
The underlying assets are then subject to custody management, where they are securely stored or administered by a trusted custodian until the associated tokens are transferred, sold, or redeemed.
Finally, marketplace integration enables the tokens to be listed and traded on regulated exchanges or secondary markets, allowing investors to buy, sell, or transfer ownership in a secure and transparent manner.
